Pavers That Stay Flat and Drain Right

A paver surface depends on its base. We excavate, compact, and grade so the driveway or patio drains away from the house and stays level. Laying the pattern on top is the quicker part of the job.

Most paver problems trace back to a rushed base. Florida sand shifts and holds water in the wrong places, and a poorly built patio will sink one low spot at a time. We excavate to the right depth, lay and compact the base material, and screed an even setting bed before placing pavers. That base is what keeps the surface from rutting, dipping, or rocking after a few seasons.

We plan grading and drainage before we start. Water needs to run away from the foundation, not pool against the house or wash out the patio edges, so we set slopes deliberately and install edge restraints that hold the field together. In heavy summer rain, a surface that sheds water is much less likely to heave or separate.

We install driveways, walkways, patios, and pool decks in a range of paver styles and patterns. To finish, we restrain the edges, sweep polymeric sand into the joints, and compact the surface so everything settles into place.
