Pavers That Stay Flat and Drain Right
Driveways, patios, walkways, and pool decks built on a base that holds in sandy soil.
A paver surface is built from the ground up, and the base is what makes it last. We excavate, compact, and grade properly so your driveway or patio drains the right way and stays level for years. The pattern on top is the easy part; the engineering underneath is where the work is.
Most paver problems trace back to a base that was rushed. Florida sand shifts, holds water in the wrong places, and will swallow a poorly built patio one low spot at a time. We excavate to the right depth, lay and compact the proper base material, and screed a consistent setting bed before a single paver is placed. That foundation is why our installations stay flat instead of rutting, dipping, and rocking underfoot a few seasons in.
Drainage and grading get planned before we start. Water has to move away from your foundation, not pool against the house or wash out the edges of the patio, so we set slopes deliberately and build edge restraints that hold the field together. In our heavy summer rains, a surface that sheds water properly is the difference between a hardscape that lasts and one that heaves and separates.
We install driveways, walkways, patios, and pool decks in a range of paver styles and patterns, and we finish the job the way it should be finished: edges restrained, joints swept and locked with polymeric sand, and the surface compacted to settle everything into place. The result is a clean, durable surface that handles weight, weather, and time.

The old-house angle
Older homes were rarely built with drainage in mind, and decades of settling can leave water draining straight toward the foundation. A well-planned paver walkway, patio, or driveway is a chance to correct that, carrying water away from the house while adding hardscape that suits the period of the home. We choose paver styles and layouts that complement an older property rather than clashing with its character.
