Good woodwork should look like it has always belonged. We build, repair, and match trim, cabinetry, and architectural details so the new work disappears into the character of the house. Every piece is measured, cut, and fit on site by hand.

Carpentry is where Accredited Home Repair started, and it is still the heart of what we do. Northeast Florida homes hold a remarkable range of woodwork: heart-pine baseboards in a Springfield foursquare, beadboard porch ceilings in Riverside, raised-panel doors in a 1920s cottage. When those pieces split, rot, or go missing over the decades, off-the-shelf replacements rarely fit. We mill and shape profiles to match the originals so a repair reads as part of the house rather than a patch.

We also build new. Window seats, bookcases, mantels, wainscoting, pantry shelving, and closet systems are all measured and fit to the actual walls of your home, not assembled from a catalog and forced into place. Florida walls are rarely plumb and almost never square, especially in older houses that have settled. Scribing a built-in to a wavy plaster wall takes patience and a sharp eye, and that is the kind of work we take pride in doing right the first time.

Humidity is the quiet enemy of woodwork here. Wood that was installed dry in January can swell tight by July, and joints that were never sealed will telegraph every season. We choose materials that hold up to the local climate, prime end-grain before installation, and detail our joinery so it can move without cracking. The result is woodwork that stays tight, paints clean, and lasts.
