Stone Set Level, Sealed, and Solid

Stone is heavy and hard to adjust once it is set, so most of the work happens before the slab arrives. We template carefully, make sure the cabinets can carry the weight, and set each slab level.

Before any stone arrives, we check that the cabinets are level, anchored, and strong enough for the load, adding support where a span or overhang needs it. In older homes with settled floors, that often means shimming and leveling a cabinet run that has drifted out of true. Stone will not bend to follow a low spot, so we correct it first.

We install granite, quartz, marble, and other stone for kitchen counters, bathroom vanities, islands, and accent pieces. An accurate template gives tight seams, clean sink and cooktop cutouts, and overhangs that line up with the cabinets below. We plan seams where they are least visible and best supported.

Natural stone is porous, and humidity and daily kitchen use are hard on an unsealed surface. We seal stone at installation and show you how to care for it. We also re-set loose stone, reseal older counters, and repair failed seams when a slab needs attention rather than replacement.
